On May 9th, WEDO/FoEME and local municipalities came together to sign the new Protecting Groundwater project´s Memorandum of Understanding. The ceremony took place in Auja environmental center, north of Jericho. In November 2011 a new project for protecting groundwater in the Mediterranean Basin was established. For the new project, FoEME is teaming up the province of Malaga, Spain in order to promote sustainable groundwater resources in the Mediterranean Basin. The project is funded by the European Commission’s ENPI (European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument).
