Cross Border Streams
Transboundary water cooperation can correlate with regional stability and peace. Engaging cross border communities, and utilizing their mutual dependence on shared water resources as a basis for cooperation, can lead to common problem solving and peace building among those communities even in the midst of conflict.
EcoPeace has a history of effective advocacy campaigns, driven by our strategy of bottom-up community mobilization, and top-down advocacy with decision makers. Our success stems from emphasizing self-interest and mutual gain, aiming at reaching win-win situations, when we address cases that violate our shared environmental resources and heritage.
