FoEME is pleased to invite the public to attend our International Jordan River Photography Exhibition opening at St. Michael’s Church in Cologne, Germany on September 17.
Over the next three years, FoEME, in partnership with the Global Nature Fund, will host a traveling exhibition throughout Europe to help raise awareness of the tragic state of the Lower Jordan River.
In partnership with photographer Eddie Gerald, FoEME has assembled a series of stark images of the Jordan Valley, highlighting its beauty, its heritage and its role in today’s conflict, contrasting the River’s current deteriorating situation with the magnificence of the landscape. Eddie Gerald’s documentary work has received numerous awards and citations worldwide.
The special events will begin with a Holy Mass celebrating the Jordan River at 18:00 followed by the opening of the exhibition at 19:30.
The exhibition opening will include guest speakers Nader Khateeb, FoEME’s Palestinian Director, Marion Hammerl, President of Global Nature Fund and Andreas Brocke, Pastor of the parish church of St. Gereon with musical guests Bella Liebermann and Federico Gieseking.
All are invited to these public events!
The Cologne exhibition will run from September 17 through October 8th.
