Manual for greywater systems

Greywater Manual

Used by the Auja Environmental Center’s staff for workshops and training seminars, this Greywater Manual (Arabic) includes general background knowledge as to the benefits of greywater recycling and its appropriate usage including instructions on how to build a home system.

An English section towards the end gives an overview of what is greywater, methods of collection, its water saving potential, environmental benefits, health and economic considerations, and different technologies including constructed wetlands.

Since the publication of The Field Guide to Wild Flowers of the Sharhabil bin Hassneh EcoPark in 2010, we have discovered over 100 new plants in the park.  This second edition adds many of these new species, expands on the fauna section of the previous edition, now creating a complete guide to the animals found in the SHE EcoPark.

Sharhabil Bin Hassneh EcoPark – Environmental Education Handbook

The overall goals of the environmental education program for the SHE EcoPark put forth in this handbook are to protect the environment, increase knowledge and improve well being of local residents.

The youth program consists of eleven weekends that are divided into two major units: How You Care for your Earth; and How the Earth Cares for You. For adults, there are many educational materials and programs we look forward to creating in the near future. Ideas are listed in the table on page 15.

In addition to programs for specific types of visitors, the Eco Park will provide a general education program for everyone, including topics such as Water, Earth, Fire, Air and Life.
