EcoPeace’s Tel Aviv office invited Israeli local stakeholders of the Lower Jordan River to a public participation meeting organized by the Jordan Rehabilitation Administration concerning the Master Plan being drawn up for the Lower Jordan River (Israeli section).
This public meeting was held on Monday, October 15th, from 16:30 – 20:00 in the Eidan Center, Gil Oz, in the Springs Valley Regional Council.
The meeting was divided into three discussion groups:
1 – Tourism, appropriate for the area
2 – Water Use
3 – Open spaces, agriculture, landscape
EcoPeace believes it is crucial for the public to learn about progress on the issue, and to voice its opinion. It is important that a wide sector of the public be involved in this process!
