EcoPeace Middle East presented the Jordan River Rehabilitation Project at the EU Parliament this month.
In partnership with leading “Champions of the Jordan River” a delegation of EcoPeace representatives from Jordan, Israel and Palestine was invited to address the European Union Parliament to raise awareness about the importance of a regional effort to rehabilitate the Lower Jordan River.
EcoPeace presented the results of its recently released Environmental Flows Report on the Rehabilitation of the Lower Jordan River and Economic Analysis of Policy Options for Water Conservation in Jordan, Israel and Palestine.
Together, these two reports identify a regional rehabilitation strategy as well as opportunities to save or produce large quantities of fresh water to enable rehabilitation to take place.
The public was invited to attend the presentation in the EU Parliament on Tuesday, June 29, 2010.
